Only THE handtool event of the year! Registration is open today so don't delay. I suspect tickets will be gone before you can say "Lie-Nielsen Bench Plane." Hope you can go and if you do, please say hi if you see me. I'll be the one with the stupid grin on my face....

I just looked through the program a bit ago. I can't go and am very envious. The only downside to going would be trying to figure out which programs I couldn't fit into the 2.5 days.
ReplyDeleteI'll look forward to your report.
John, I'll bet this turns into an annual event so maybe you can make it next year. It will indeed be difficult to see everything, but I'll take notes and photos as fast as I can!
ReplyDeleteI will be there and I hope very much to see you. I enjoy your blog very much. It is generous and you are a formidable woodworker.

George, I look forward to meeting you!
ReplyDeleteI am so there! I am so excited that I just put up a post of my own agenda on my blog! Check it out at:

I agree that it is hard to decide which events to register for. Let's make sure we all share what we learned in the blogosphere.
Shannon, I imagine we bloggers will compile enough information for many, many posts! : )
ReplyDeleteKari, you and Shannon both suck>:(
ReplyDeleteJust kidding! But, I am sooooo jealous. While I understand that the majority of woodworking associations are out your way, Portland is such a nicer place to hold a convention and it's only four hours away for me.
So, talk to "the powers that be" and twist their collective arm. You can do it, Kari! You are a force to be reckoned with!!! Gooooo Kari!
Great idea, Vic! I've always wanted to see Portland. ; )
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I won't be able to make it to the US, but I'll surely look forward for your review! :-) Wish you enjoy it!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog Kari, very well written, nice pictures, and excellent woodwork of course!
Won't be there...sigh.
ReplyDeleteI'm with Vic - why does everything need to be back East? Portland would be good - but Anchorage would be even better!
I'd go to Anchorage again! Good idea, Dan!
ReplyDeleteMariano, thank you!
ReplyDeleteDan & Vic——Anchorage....hmmm....don't they have Grizzly bears there????
Grizzly bear aren't a problem if they aren't hungry, surprised or irritated:D Happy 4th. It's a good day, I get to eat meat!!!
ReplyDeleteVic, I'm very happy for you!
ReplyDeleteKari, Sylvia is a devout vegetarian and since she does the majority of the cooking, so am I. Unless, of course I go out or cook...then I get to use my canines. It's getting harder not to feel guilty about slaughter practices, so I numb the guilt with good beer!:D
