The shoulders of the dado are sloped, like a dovetail. My son is planning to incorporate the sliding dovetail key and the quaker lock into his woodshop cabinet. But I just dont fully understand how the quaker lock and the sliding dovetail key work. It makes sense that none of the compartments were standard back then, otherwise they wouldn't be very secret.
